Short answer: A social post starts with the data that the catalog source keeps current. Before setting a publishing rule, list the product name, image, price, category, availability and link. Then decide which fields should be visible in the post and which fields should only support selection and review.
A post starts with a catalog record
If a product record on the site is incomplete, a social channel cannot correct it. The same item may have a short name on the site, a different price in a message and an old image on a social page. An aiSMM workflow should identify the source first and describe how the record becomes a post second.
The site catalog or another agreed source should be the working reference. The team should know who changes product data and when a change is ready for publishing. This does not mean every field must be exposed in a post. It means every field has a defined purpose.
The core fields
- Name: a short, unambiguous product title.
- Image: a photo that belongs to the product and can be used for the post.
- Price: the current price, or a clear rule that the price must stay out of the post.
- Category: the group used to select or prioritize products.
- Availability: the status that tells the team whether the item can stay in the queue.
- Link: the page where a person can inspect the product and take the next agreed action.
Not every source field belongs in the post
Separate the data into two groups. The first group is visible: name, image, price, short description and link. The second group supports selection and review: view data, category, stock status or a manually assigned priority. This split makes it easier to explain why a product was selected and what a person still needs to check.
Illustrative example: An auto importer has a vehicle record with an image, price, condition, category and detail page. The post may use the first fields and the link, while views stay in the selection rule. This example is fictional and does not claim a client result.
A short preparation checklist
- Name one catalog source and the person responsible for it.
- Mark the fields that should appear in the post.
- Write the rule for an old price, image or availability status.
- Define the role of the Facebook Page and Instagram.
- Walk one product from source record to planned post.
