Priority stock and sold-out checks for an online store
Views help choose a product, but a store post still needs a confirmed price, image, stock status, link and a clear rule for sold-out items.

Short answer: Product selection and product availability are separate checks. A high-viewed or low-viewed item, or a manually prioritized category, can enter the queue only after the store confirms its price, image, stock status and link. A sold-out item needs a written hold rule.
Priority does not replace availability
A high-viewed product may look like a strong candidate while its stock is already gone. A low-viewed item may deserve attention while its page is incomplete. The same applies to a manually prioritized category. Record the selection rule and the availability rule separately.
A useful working record answers four questions: why was the item selected, what is its current status, which fields belong in the post and who checks the final record? This keeps several category priorities from becoming one unexplained queue.
A short stock check
- Confirm that the product page is available and the link opens the correct record.
- Check price, image and category in the same agreed source.
- Mark whether the item is available, limited or sold out.
- Hold a sold-out or uncertain record for human review.
- Only then decide which channel and schedule should receive it.
What to do when an item is sold out
Do not only remove a sold-out item from the queue. Record why the post stopped and what should happen to the catalog record. The team may keep the page, change its status or choose another product from the same category. The business must define which action is allowed.
Illustrative example: A store manually prioritizes one category, but two products have no stock when the queue is checked. The rule holds both records and keeps only a product whose price, image and availability are confirmed. This is a fictional example, not a store result.
Define the channel fields
The same catalog can use a different format on a Facebook Page and Instagram. Decide whether the post should include a price, short description, category and link. Do not add a claim that the source no longer confirms.
